Meet the founders.

HOUTEX was founded by Scott MacPherson and Fabian Saldaña, builders with decades of design, engineering, and project management experience, and a shared belief that a home should be personal, not just another structure.

Scott MacPherson

Co-Founder · Design-Build & Project Management

Scott MacPherson is the co-founder of HOUTEX, bringing more than 30 years of experience in design, project management, construction, and residential development. He has designed and built more than 60 homes in inner Houston, including custom luxury residences, multi-unit projects, and community-focused developments.

Scott's expertise includes concept design, feasibility analysis, budgeting, client alignment, and full project execution. He also brings a strong engineering and leadership background from the oil and gas industry, where he managed teams on complex offshore projects with a focus on safety, precision, and operational excellence.

At HOUTEX, Scott helps guide projects with a balance of creativity, technical insight, and practical execution, ensuring each build reflects the client's vision while staying aligned with quality, budget, and long-term value. Outside of work, Scott volunteers in advocacy and outreach efforts supporting the fight against human trafficking.

Fabian Saldaña, Co-Founder HOUTEX

Fabian A. Saldaña

Co-Founder · Custom & Spec Home Builder

Fabian A. Saldaña is the co-founder of HOUTEX, bringing extensive experience in engineering, project management, and residential construction. His background includes large-scale project coordination, budgeting, design integration, asset protection, and construction planning, giving him a disciplined and detail-oriented approach to every build.

At HOUTEX, Fabian oversees projects from planning and design through material selection, construction, and final walkthrough. His focus on quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship helps ensure each home is built to meet the highest standards while reflecting the unique vision of each homeowner.

Beyond construction, Fabian is deeply committed to serving his community. He co-founded the nonprofit BLUE SAR, whose mission is to support families searching for missing loved ones, and serves as a volunteer firefighter. His dedication to helping others reflects the same values of service, integrity, and leadership that guide every HOUTEX project.
